About Treatwise

More than training. A better life together.

We make kind, practical courses that fit into ordinary days, so you and your pet can understand each other a little better every week.

Our approach

Three things we won't compromise on.

Kind methods only

Every exercise uses rewards: treats, toys, play and praise. No shouting, and no prong, choke or shock collars.

Small steps, every day

Ten focused minutes beat an hour once a week. Each lesson is one short read, one animated diagram and one thing to practise.

Clear goals

Every course ends with a short skills checklist, so you always know exactly what you're working towards.

About us

Who we are.

Treatwise is a small online school based in Ontario, Canada, for pet owners in the United States and Canada. We built it for people who want kind, reliable methods but can't easily get to a weekly class, or can't pay for private sessions for every problem.

We're upfront about what an online course can and can't do. There are no trainers reviewing your practice, so each course ends with a checklist you complete honestly, and the lessons say clearly when something needs your vet or an in-person behaviour professional. The methods follow guidance from veterinary behaviour organizations such as AVSAB, and every reading lesson lists its sources.

The certificate

Proof you both put in the work.

When you finish a course and its skills checklist, your pet earns a certificate with their name, breed, the skills they learned and the date. Every certificate has a number anyone can check on our site.

It's a certificate of completion for the course. It isn't a service animal or emotional support animal certification and doesn't give access to housing, flights or shops.
