Vet visits, nail trims and grooming are some of the most stressful moments in a dog's life, and stress can make care harder and less safe. This course starts with your rights and options at the vet, then teaches cooperative care: a "chin rest" that lets your dog say "I'm ready", and step-by-step comfort with handling. Every exercise uses rewards. The American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior recommends reward-based training only, and found no evidence that force, pain or fear (prong or shock collars, leash jerks, shouting) work better in any situation.
